any memorial day plans or suggestions?

anyone hear anything fun going on memorial day weekend?  we are looking for fun things to do with our 9 month old.  We are going to go hiking one day at great falls and then were thinking about either the reston petting zoo or the national zoo - but is 9 months too young to really enjoy either of these?  any ideas welcome!!  we have a 5 day weekend so looking to fill it up with fun things!

    At 9 months DD loved virtually everything we did with her.  She just wanted to be the center of attention and have space to crawl and be slightly independent.  If your DS is the same, I would do things that you are particularly looking forward to and just make sure you engage DS in the process.  It might eb past your DS's bedtime, but I know DD loved fireworks.  We sought them out all last summer so she could be wowed.
