New to The Bump

Starting fresh

Hello,

I guess I started on the wrong foot. Wrote a comment on the TTC link and got weird and almost bitter replies. So I figure that I would start here.

My husband and I are about to celebrate our 1year anniversary on June 6th. Can't believe that it's been a year already.

We decided that it was time to TTC. I went off the BCP in March. AF came 3/30/2010. On the pill I was clock work to the day. Been off before and never skipped a visit, delayed but never skipped. Anycase, we have not seen her show her face since. I took a test last week and it was a BFN. I called my OB's office and they said that some people have really low HCG levels so it may be too early. However, I will not be too bummed out if I get a BFN again, I just would like to see her visit so that we can start a new month again.

Our bodies are all different. This is the first time trying and so we are hoping for the best. Have a Doc appointment on the 1st. Maybe if I get a BFN from them they will give me something to start it back up.

Wishing you ladies all the luck.

Re: Starting fresh

  • Hello... I saw you on the TTGP board. You were like clock work on the pill because that's what the pill is for. You get a period every 28 days. When you get off the pill, and do not have those hormones in your body, it sometimes takes your body months to regulate your cycle. You might have a 28 day cycle the first month then a 50 day cycle then a 38 day cycle. You  can take a PG test once a week until AF shows or call your DR if you go 60 days without AF.

Also, the bump ticker is complete BS! You need to get rid of it. Most girls use FF (fertility friend) its free and awesome! You can click in my siggy to sign up.

     Best of luck to you.

  • 1. Lurk more on TTGP, read the newbie post, look into charting, in general increase your knowledge of your body and process of getting pregnant even if other member of your family got PG on the first try.

    2. I would refrain from calling people bitter or almost bitter, especially people you don't know, who have had struggles you are not familar with.

  • I commented on your TTGP post.

I also re-read the other responses and they were actually really nice (with some very good advice).  You didn't get flamed and almost everyone welcomed you to the board.

As for 'bitter' responses; you didn't get any.  The fact that you're coming onto another board and implying that people are bitter because they didn't tell you exactly what you wanted to hear is really rude (especially since everyone was so nice to you).

If you want a 'puppies and rainbows' board I suggest going elsewhere.  Lurk a little bit and you will get a feel for what this board is really about.

P.S. The Bump doesn't forget.  Calling women 'bitter' (or implying that their responses are) is a HUGE no-no.

    Edited: for clarity.
