stomach virus?

if your kiddos have dealt with a stomach virus, how long did it take to pass?

and do you have any tips?  we are already trying the BRAT diet, pedialtyte, pedialtye pops, probiotics...

maddy has been dealing with it since thursday and i am EXHAUSTED.... she must be getting me ready for a newborn sleep schedule again, bc we are waking every 2 hours to clean her up from either vomit or diarrhea...

    Not that long.  Getting sick usually is only 24 hours, maybe 48.  Getting back to totally normal eating might take another day or two after that, but definitely not still throwing up on day 5 or 6.  I would call your pedi.  I don't normally call for stomach flu, but since it's been going on so long I'd call.

    and **hugs** -- stomach flu is The. Worst. and I have the utmost sympathy for anyone dealing with it.

    i was hoping it was a 48hr thing, so we didn't go to the pedi over the weekend... we went yesterday, and he said to expect diarrhea up to a week... she is just so tiny as it is, i feel like she is withering away!

    Usually just 2-3 days max. I think you may want to call the Dr if you haven't already.

    oops...just read your comment above.  Normally if you see lots of it coming out of the other end...it means it's almost over.  hope she gets better soon!!!
