I sort of have mixed feeling about this. With both of my girls I was induced due to big babies. I just think it would be fun to not know, and be able to call my husband and say IT'S TIME!!! I go in today for a growth sonogram and most likely be scheduled to be induced. Although I am glad that he/she won't be a 12 pound baby. Most likely this is my last pregnancy so I have all kinds of emotions!!!! Just wondering how everyone else feels about being induced.
Re: how many of you are being induced?
My BFP Chart
I am being induced at 38 weeks due to a blood disorder I have (and a few other reasons). My blood doesn't clot and I have to have a synthetic clotting agent administered via IV no less than 8 hours prior to delivery to prevent hemorrhaging.
Since we have no idea how long I will labor, my Peri is more comfortable inducing.
I'm going to be induced Friday if I don't have him before then...really hoping to do it without an induction (I have mixed emtions about it), but I'm also ready to have him here! The doc said they could see me on Friday or they could go ahead and schedule the induction for then. The thoughts of no baby on Friday & then having to wait for the beginning of next week for a baby were scary!
I'm really in pain due to sciatica, so the sooner the better!

This. Well, as of right now at least...it's still early.
I'm being induced tomorrow with my second, and most likely last, baby. I have mixed feelings. I want to experience the moment of "omg, this is it, I'm going into labor" (was induced with #1, as well, so have never had that) and I want my body to do it naturally. But it's more important to me that the baby be delivered in the hospital, and come out safely, so I'm going along with the induction.
I will admit that I was much more upset at the idea of an induction with my first. I've come to terms with it this time. At the end of the day, a healthy baby and mommy is all I care about.
I'd rather not be induced but I will be because I was diagnosed with mild pre-e. The specific date/time is being scheduled at my appt this afternoon & I'm told it will be within the next week.

I was diagnosed with pre-e at 29w, so I'll be induced at 37w if my condition stays stable. If my condition should worsen over the next 2 weeks, I will be induced earlier.
i had a big baby and didnt need to be induced, so its not something that i would do just because. i loved being surprised.
i would only consider an induction if baby was in danger or I was at least a week overdue. i would never do it before 40 weeks just because.
