Bring me your morning sickness cures

Is anything working for you? Because I feel like crap and don't know how I am going to function at work this morning. My sister said she would bring me Preggy Pops (that name makes me cringe for some reason), but I don't know how well they work. Any suggestions are appreciated!

  • I saw Preggy Pop Drops yesterday and they were reccommended to me but they just look gross. I think just the flavors would make me nauseous. I have been drinking ginger ale or home made ginger tea. Sometimes its all I can do to nnot gag ro dry heave. Ihope you feel better sweetie.

  • I've been eating the Preggie pops and they are really good! I don't know what flavors you've seen, but the ones I have are normal-apple, lemon, cherry. They just taste like sour hard candy.

I also eat a lot of Altoids, because they have peppermint oil in them, which helps with nausea. The chocolate dipped ones are the best!

I haven't actually thrown up yet, I just feel nauseated any time that my stomach isn't full. Good luck, hope you feel better!

  • Sour patch kids! Seriously just like one or two of them is all I need to make the m/s subside.

  • I ate mentos and lemonheads when I as pregnant with my daughter. I think I better go pick some up today because my mornings and evening are starting to get miserable.

I got some at Babies R' Us and Destination Maternity. I think any sour candy might work. I don't think they have anything special in them other than a "proprietary blend of essential oils."

  • I bought a bag of regular lemon drops hard candy at the dollar store and sucking those seems to help a lot.
  • Crystalized ginger- nasty but I only have to eat a little about every other day and it takes care of it!
  • vitamin B 6 reduces nausia, eating a diet high in it will healp but it's ahrd to get enough from food unless you eat alot of dark leafy greens, which m/s tends to make difficult, but you can talk to your OB about supplements.?

I also carry a m/s preparedness kit with me in my purse,?

a plastic bag, a little thing of oyster crackers (pop one or two when it comes on and it seems to settle) and colgate wisps. these things are GREAT for any necesary post puke freshen ups, they're little tooth brushes that dont need water.?

Cinnamon gum....Big Red or whatever.  With my first pregnancy, I read that cinnamon will calm nausea and it did!

    watermelon

crystallized ginger (the only thing that ever prevented me from booting)

    popscicles

    coke

    Sea Bands

  • Right now...Water and crackers and sleep seem to really help me.

I try to prevent it when I feel it coming on.

I am going to pick up sugar free italian water ice, and sugar free juice pops to help with it too.
