I need some ideas for boy irish names that are not overly popular. My DS is Liam and DD is Ashlyn. Here is my list do far, though my husband does not like most of them.

Kellan Nolan Finn Lochlan
How is it possible that you have three of my top four boy names on this list? Haha
PS: the 4th one in my top four is Declan. Right now Nolan seems to be in the lead, since it is also a family name. GL!

My DS is Kellan - so obviously I love it - and our other name we went into the delivery room with was Nolan, which if we have another boy will be his name.
Sean! It's so classic and really isn't used much anymore. It's also one of the few Irish names where you can use the traditional spelling without having to constantly to explain how the name is pronounced!

I also like Gavin, but its Welsh
I also like Keiran, Cullum, and Conner

There are so many great names on this thread! I'm definitely bookmarking it.
I'm not really trying for Irish names, it just seems like all of my faves happen to be in this category (except Rhys, which is Welsh).
I like Kellen and Finn the best. Lachlan is right up there, though. I don't like Nolan for personal reasons, so not the best person to ask! I don't think you can go wrong with Kellen, Finn, or Lachlan, though.

Thank you - and we weren't either, but it is just the sound and meaning of the names we liked. My DH picked Kellan bc in our baby book it said it meant "Little Companion" and since it was our first and a boy - Dh said he would be his little buddy. Kellan calls DH Bobbob instead of Dada - so I guess he got his wish - lol!
Re: Irish boy name help
