Where and what did you buy? I've worn the same two brands of bras for the past 5 years and don't even know where to begin with buying new ones. Should I just go buy my same bra in the next size up? A sales lady at Motherhood Maternity told me to get a C cup instead of a B cup because my rib cage is widening. Should I buy a maternity bra? I usually wear demi bras, but the girls are spilling out of them. Should I get a full coverage bra? I'm super picky about my bras and need some ideas. TIA!!
Re: Ladies who have bought new bras...
I'm pretty well-endowed to begin with (DD), so I just went to Motherhood Maternity and had them measure me. As it turned out, the weight I gained during our IF treatments meant my "original" bra size was off a bit, which was part of the reason I was spilling out already. But I also needed to go up in cup size, and it can be downright difficult to find anything larger than DD in stores - so I bought two nursing bras at MM (one DDD, one F, based on the advice of the sales girl & the fit when I tried them on).
In your situation, I'd go with a full coverage bra in the next cup size up, from someplace inexpensive like Target, or an outlet store. That way, if/when you need to transition again, it won't be so tough on the bank account.
Thanks Michelle. That's good advice. I'll go pick one up tomorrow at Target and try it out.
Your post got me curious. I'm still wearing my 34C bras but I've been spilling out of the sides and top, and I have some amazing cleavage going in non-push-up bras which was not normal for me.
I just measured myself and according to 2 different online calculators I should be in a 34DD...I doubt I could actually fill that out but maybe I need to shop for something new!
Good luck finding one that fits!
