New here and intro

Hi ladies, I have lurked here some and feel like I am finally ready to come out and play. I normally post over on TTTC (and before that on TTGP). I have also spent some time on the M/PL board.

Background DH and I have been married for a little over a year; TTC since July 2009. I am 37, DH is 40. I have a DD from a previous relationship and she is 19 years old and just finished her first year of college.

We started with a RE in January (b/c of no success at that point and our ages). Right before we started testing I found out I was pregnant, but it ended before it really began with a c/p. We went through all the testing and everything looked good. Amazingly I got pregnant again that month.

This time things progressed to 8 weeks and then at my 2nd u/s there was no heartbeat. That was the day after Easter, I had a D&C that Friday. We had testing done on the tissue and it turns out the baby, a girl, had Trisomy 16, so that was the reason for the m/c.

It has been much harder the second time around and taken much more out of me emotionally. While having the test results provided answers, it also made things harder in a way. Tomorrow we are supposed to got talk to a genetic counselor - I am not sure if they will suggest further testing. I feel like I have finally gotten to a better place and feel ready to move forward.

Cycle wise - I had spotting about 5 weeks post m/c, but no real AF. Last Sat. I went to have my HCG levels checked, they were still 5.9. I had them rechecked this past Thurs, and they were down to 3.5. I also had a u/s and it was clear and they saw some follies. So the RE told me we could start trying as soon as I got a + OPK. Well, wouldn't you know I bought some yesterday and got a + (and another + today). So it seems like we are officially back to TTC again.

I'm sorry for everything you have had to deal with, but I know you will find some amazing women on this board. I also look forward to getting to know you.
