pro vbac doctors in north jersey

does anyone know a pro vbac doctor in northern nj?

Re: pro vbac doctors in north jersey

  • Most of the pro vbac docs/midwives that I am familiar with are in central/southern NJ.  Have you reached out to your local ICAN leader?  She will probably be your best source of information:  https://icanofnj.com/

    Good luck!

Can Marla attend first time VBACs?  I heard she was only attending VBACs if you've already had one.

Dr Parchment at Mountainside is supposed to be very pro-VBAC.  There are also the Avalon midwives at Morristown.

If you opt to go to Marla she will be at your deliver no matter what! I am probably going to her and can not have a vaginal delivery! She said she is there in the deliver or OR even if she not the one doing the delivery! She is really sweet. She delivered both of my cousin's kids and she is delivering another one this fall.

Oh, I know Marla is wonderful!!!!  I know a woman who had to have a planned c-section and Marla was awesome.  She was there the whole time.  I just remembering hearing that she was not able to attend first time VBACs.

When they she can not attend first time VBAC it just means she can do the delivery, it has to be a OB! She can be there acting as like a coach! She is really the best

  • I used One to One Female Care in Morristown for my first.  Tina Alessi is the midwife and Dr. Garfinkel is the OB.  I had a home birth with my second and used Judith Hagan in Rockaway.  I just personally feel that hospital midwives have the same belief system of OB's so if natural delivery is your goal then go with a home birth.  If a VBAC is the only thing you're looking for then One to One Female Care is a fabulous practice that can give you what you want.
