First day alone!

My DH is back to work today which leaves me alone with the twins for the first time.. So far so good although DS took over an hour to finish his bottle...

    Wow, Mar, my DH went back to work too today, after taking off four weeks unpaid to be with the twins.  I was just going to post about this as I am afraid to go it alone.  It was so wonderful to have an extra pair of caring hands for so long, I miss him dearly this morning.  My MIL was suppsoed to stay here for a month to help me but when she saw that I was not bedridden after my c-sec she decided not to stay, boo!  Is your DH totally exhausted too?  I do not see how mine can accomplish anything at work being so tired, lol.

    Aw.. Good luck ladies!  I remember when DH went back to work a few weeks ago and I freaked out.  We have good & bad days (we're dealing w/ colic), but I know I can handle it.  I do always get sad when he leaves for work in the morn.

    everyday is a success, and an accomplishment!  remember, crying happens, so don't take it personally.  good luck :)

    You will have highs and lows but try to keep it all in perspective. Like PP said, crying happens so don't let it rattle you.  Change, feed and when that fails, hold and rock.  You will do great:)

    my day is going ok so far! one baby is dressed but I'm still in my pjs.. add in to the mix 3 dogs and 2 cats... lol

    my DH is exhausted.. and he commutes to the city for work... I miss him tons!! hope your day is going well, too :o)

    Hey Mar, I hope your day went well.  My DH is on his way home from work, he has a long commute since he uses a park and ride to downtown.  I am still in PJ's too and so are the twins but we survived, lol.  This is going to be tough everyday though.  I thought I was healed from my c-sec but I see that now that I have do to everything I am a bit more sore and yucky, oh well :)

    Congrats on surviving your first day - I was alone with our twins from 2-8 weeks, and every day seemed to get a little better - you'll be surprised at how you and the babies will adapt and it will just work out in some way. 

    Just hang in there and try to remain calm (I know, easier said than done), and if it starts to get overwhelming, just take a deep breath.

     You'll do great!  Good luck tomorrow!
