Losing the pacifier

Night 1 went fantastic. I imagine Reagan was really tired from her party but was excited to see what the "Binky Fairy" was leaving her the next morning. The next day she asked for it at her nap and then remembered we gave it to the fairy and all was well.

Night 2 was not so great. She didn't ask for her but was up at least 4 times from 11p-1:30a restless and crying.

I hope tonight is better because I am exhausted. At least she isn't asking for it I guess.

  • I have heard it will get better after 3 days.  Don't hold me to that though.

I think for Emmy, she stopped doing her quiet cry around day 4.  So maybe it's true!

  • It took Truitt about 3 days, too. After that he would ask for it every once in a while but not get upset about it except one time when he wasn't feeling well. I'd say at after 6 weeks we never heard a peep about it again.

  • We went cold turkey 5 days ago and he is still asking for it but not crying. Good luck!
  • good luck to you!!  i hope you're daughter does better tonight.  i took my dd's away about 3 months ago and it was a little harder than some of the previous posts.  (not to scare you, but to prepare you for a possibility)  it took about 3 weeks before she was completely back to normal when laying down for nap time and sleeping the same amount of time.  she also had to learn how to lay in bed and play without it again.

some of our issues might have been because she see's her little brother with one.

good news is that she's terrific now!!
