Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

lurker question

Hi Ladies,

I have a quick question and would appreciate any advice you have to give. TIA.

One of my dear coworkers and her DH lost their baby girl at 21 weeks gestation in February. My CW's due date is at the end of June and I would like to get her a card mentioning that I am thinking of them and remembering their baby girl with them but I don't want it to come across wrong.

Would you have appreciated or not appreciated a gesture like that while you were going through that time? I truly want to be sensitive to her and her DH.

Thanks so much for the advice.

Re: lurker question

  • I would appreciate something like that -- gone does not mean forgotten and I think it would mean a lot to me.

  • Yes, for sure. I'm not nearing my expected due date yet, but I already know a sweet gesture like that would mean to the world to me when I get to that point.

  • I think its so sweet that you are thinking about your friend. I do think you should give her a card or something. I am sure it will mean so much to her that you had not forgotten are thinking of her.

  • That is a great idea! One of my fears is that my EDD will pass and I will be the only one who remembers.

this!!  I really nhope noone forgets about my sweet little angel!!

  • How thoughtful of you!!!!  I think it's a wonderful idea to give her a card.  Like some of the PP's I fear that the date will come and go and no one will notice or mention it....
