Success after IF

jinxed myself...and Nest ate my post

About a week ago I was thinking maybe I wasn't going to have any m/s this time around.  Then I thought, oh maybe I just have a mild case.  Boy was I wrong.  It just took a while to get here, but now it's making up for lost time.  My weekend was miserable and so is today.  OMG, I don't know how to deal with feeling like I can't move from one spot and taking care of a toddler, too.  Seriously, in my last pregnancy, I said I was never doing this again.  Tell me this is going to be over soon.  Based on last time, I have 4+ more weeks of this.  And I've only had it (in force) for about 4 days...uuuuuuuugh!!!!!!

Sorry, I just had to vent.  I'm very thankful for a successful pregnancy so far.  But I feel AWFUL.

  • I was always skeptical of zofran, but the difference it has made this pregnancy has been night and day. I was really struggling to get off the couch, and that tiny pill saved my life!

  • Ugh, that really stinks! I would also suggest looking into zofran. I cant imagine feeling like that and trying to care for a toddler! I hope it passes soon.
  • I can't imagine... I hope you feel better soon!

  • Oh hon - I know how you feel! I was miserable from weeks 6-10.  I feel so much better now, but I still have my moments.  It was so hard to take care of Paige some days.

I had to let things go.  I HAD to lay down and nap during her nap, or I would feel even worse.  So the laundry didn't get folded and the house didn't get vacuumed.

I am slowly thinking I'm getting the second-tri energy boost, but some days are still a challenge.

Have you had your first u/s yet?

  • Yep, I've already had two and will have my third on Friday.  Everything looks good so far.  :)

I am definitely laying down for every nap, and I've been relying heavily on DH.  He took DS to his dentist appt this morning so I could go back to bed for 45 minutes.

At least I've figured one thing out that I hadn't last pregnancy... Protein makes me feel horrible, which is why I always felt even worse after eating.  I've figured out that if I snack on something that is JUST a carb, I feel slightly better for a short while.  At least it's something... I fear medicating.  :(

  • hugs, T! I hope you feel better soon!

After 12 weeks of m/s, and constant weight loss, I finally asked for zofran at about 19 weeks pregnant with E, and omg, what a difference! I still puked once or twice a day, but it was so much less than before and the overall feeling of nausea was mostly gone
