NBR: Kate Plus Eight... Seriously?!?

TLC is having the 'return' of Kate Plus 8 ! Are you flipping kidding me?!? ( June 6th I think )

After all those poor children have gone through.. I will admit though that I will watch it.. but I don't understand how its a 'return' when the show used to be called "Jon and Kate Plus 8'

any thoughts?

I was so excited when this show was in the "talking stages" way back in December, but ever since i saw her on Dancing With the Stars and being interviewd 100+ times, i've grown to hate her. I will watch the first show just to see the kids but thats about it. She's a fame whore!

I will not be watching it. I only watched a couple episodes before the split, and I think TLC is horrible for continuing to pay that woman to exploit her children.

I think she and her ex-husand are so selfish. It disgusts me what those kids have been through. Granted the marriage could have crumbled even if they didn't do the show. But it's sad that the kids have years of video documenting the end of their parents marriage. I didn't watch the last season and will not watch this new show either...I refuse to contribute to their success at the expense of the kids. And I have to say I was so happy when she got the boot on Dancing with the Stars....she was so bad!

Not to justify what Jon did to her but she was a TOTAL *** the whole time they were together on the show. I don't think I could handle a show of just her and her "look at me...look at me" ways!

I think I've watched a total of ten minutes of that show ever and it kills me that I still somehow know their whole backstory and every freakin' move either one of those two make. She and her husband are media whoring a*ses. And why on earth do they always have their children playing in the front yard where all the paparazzi are???

I know that I shouldn't be posting over er yet,but I had to respond. I used to love the show and while I think Kate is O.C.D and a host of other words,I like her. I always thought Jon was a sorry MF. I'm glad that they are back,so that she can continue to make money for her children. Do you know that her husband hasn't worked in years,he's so damn lazy. I'll be watching!

I refuse to watch it because I think she needs to think about what all the drama will do to her children. They need love...not camera's following them around. Seems a bit selfish of her.

I' dont particularly like Kate OR Jon, but I do think she's a good mom. Jon seems to be really immature and I cannot imagine he's a great dad.

As far as "exploiting" the children...I don't know that I agree that it's exploitation. Yes they spent their lives on TV but it has also allowed them to have quite a good childhood that they probably would not have had if not for the show. The house, the vacations, even the quality time with their parents would have been nearly impossible without all the money from the show. It IS sad that they have their parents' divorce on tv, but plenty of kids have survived messy divorces, celebrity style

My kids love to watch that show. We used to watch it all of the time although I have to admit I didn't let them watch many of the last shows of the season because of all of the drama. I really enjoyed the ones that were drama free and just about them going to do stuff like going to Disney World. My kids liked to watch that because they went to many of the same places and liked to see little kids like them doing the same thing. I was sad that it was cancelled, but didn't enjoy the final season at all anyways because it was just all about the marketing and their free stuff and their bickering. I felt awkward watching it like you were listening to your mom and dad fight or something. Hopefully this one will turn out better although I have a feeling the kids (specifically the older twins) are going to be getting to the age that they are going to have some major issues with being on the show as they are nearing middle school.

As sh*tty as it is that she is even allowed a TV show, I will still watch it, because I love those kids.

I know everyone says "poor kids," but honestly, if it's all they've ever known (they've been on film since they were babies) what's so bad about it? The kids know the crew and they show them playing around with the kids. I honestly don't see how it's any different than the Duggar family being filmed all the time.
