  I love Eli with full name Elijah.

  Can someone answer a (possibly stupid) question for me?

  Babynamesworld.com lists possible pronunciations for Elias as (ee LEE as) and (eh LYE uss). Which is the one most people are using when considering this name? I don't know anyone with this name personally, so I'm honestly not sure and can see how both could be possible from the spelling.

  I LOVE Elias, but why not just go with Eli? It's a good stand alone name.

  DH's cousin is named Elias, pronounced EE-lee-us.  He is Greek.  I agree about Eli as a stand alone name.
