Anyone have allergies?

I have horrible allergies during this time of year. I am just miserable, it is beautiful outside and I don't even want to step foot outside because I will sneeze and eyes water. Normally I take allegra, but I don't think I can, does anyone feel my pain or know what I can do help??

I have nasty allergies too :(

Zyrtec is safe and the generic is really inexpensive.  That's what I take.

I take a generic version of Zyrtec.  I hope you get some relief.

  • I feel your pain sista!! LOL it's been extra super bad this year for all sufferers. It's triggering my asthma which it's never done before.?

not sure what a doc would say about your meds, i took zyrtec lat time and was told that was fine (i like it, doesnt make me drowsy or stoned) and benadryl (but watch out for the sleepy factor) is pregnancy safe. however i'm so paranoid right now I cant bring myself to put so much as tylenol in my mouth until we're clear of our danger day.?

i can recommend dusting more with a damp clothe, changing bed sheets, washing your skin and hair before bed, changing the air filter on your hvac unit before turning on any ac, and drinking lots and lots of water.. (my hubby and I both have lots of allergies so it's routine around here)

on the up side often women experience less and less allergies during pregnancy due to the supressed immune response caused by the placenta.. I'm diabetic and it even makes my diabetes better the first month or two, I require less insulin.. and as i progress my RA (arthritis) improves drasticly too, so there may be a hope in sight.?

  • Regular Claritin should be good too.  I have spring allergies and I'm allergic to my cats a little and that's what I take.
  • What people have said....

Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl..... Those are the ones that I was approved for.

  • I usually use Claritin, but it says on the box to not take it while PG or BFing without consulting your dr (the active ingredient is class B, I believe) but I'm kinda dying a little here, lol.  I'm taking tylenol and hoping I don't die of nose drippies before the 2nd for my first prenatal appt.

  • I can get a year's supply of Costco-brand Zyrtec for under $20. That's pretty hard to beat.
