I personally would pick one with the least stuff on it. They get so gross and most are ugly and overdone anyway. I really hate high chairs and when we have #2, I'm going with a Stokke that pulls right up to the regular table and can be used far after baby age. Also, you won't need one for awhile, so if you don't have a ton of space, I would put off buying one until you start feeding solids.
I think we are going to get the one that just straps to the kitchen chair. It has a tray for when the baby is little, but then turns into a booster seat. I can't fathom taking up a lot of space with a separate high chair when I will encourage the baby to eat (at the time) close to us.
my bff has the fisher price preciouse planet high chair and lovers it she used it with both kids, i have just a plain graco one thats basicly the same as the fisher price one just diferent colors lol i cant remember what its called but i got it from target and its tan brown and teal with owl's all over it. its really cute,
advice several people have told me:
1. you want it to have different height adjustments
and
2. you want it to have differents seat reclineing positions
If you want a full-size high chair, Baby Bargains rated Graco Contempo and Chicco Polly highly. User reviews say the Chicco is hard to clean (crevices in tray and seat pad), but I saw multiple reviews that said baby's arm got stuck between chair legs and tray on the Graco, so I am going with the Chicco. If you get the Chicco, know that there are two styles of seat pad - vinyl and fabric. Fabric is washable. Vinyl is wipeable. Depends on your preference. The Chicco website tells you which patterns are fabric vs vinyl (most store websites say vinyl for them all).
That said, I have also seen a lot of positive reviews for the FP Space Saver which straps on to a regular chair.

Honestly, I know I am in the minority but I have really loved our Eddie Bauer wooden highchair. We have it pulled right up to the table so it is like he is eating right there with us. As for cleaning, I think it's been really easy to care for- unlike some of the other full size chairs. I use a dustbuster to suck up the dry crumbies and wipe it down with a wet washcloth. About once a week, I use some of my hardwood floor cleaner to really clean it up. Still looks brand new. If you have room for a full size chair, I personally think that's the way to go. But I know a lot of people love the kind that just attach to the kitchen chairs. We have leather upholstered parsons chairs, so I just didn't feel like this was a good option for us. Oh, and we have 2 of the IKEA high chairs at the grandparents houses... love those too! So easy to clean.
I registered for this one as I like the feature that it can fold flat. I also like that it has a few stages on it,so we can adjust the seat to the baby's age and height. My friend has a Peg Perego and loves it!

We splurged for the Boon Flair, I wanted one that could adjust to counter and table height.
We went with Fisher Price ZEN
Fisher price high chair was highly rated but I don't like all of the character/baby stuff. The zen is more subdued and fits into our decor
