belly cast, anyone?

Is anyone else doing a belly cast this pregnancy? One of my good friends is coming over to do the cast with me this afternoon. I'm so excited! I wanted to do one with my first, but just never got around to it.

Interesting. I've never heard of this, and it doesn't quite appeal to me. What in the world would you do with a cast of your belly? It won't even look like anything. But post a picture when you're done, I'm intrigued now!

I won't be doing one.

While the principle is kind of neat, I have no desire to have a big plaster mold of my pregnant stomach taking up space in a closet at my house.

I wanted to but see no point since ill just take pics of it & then throw it out. Its kind of a waste of money that I can use for baby stuff. But I really really really wanted one! =( Oh well.

yeah, it was only like 20 bucks for the stuff to do it, my friend actually had some supplies left over from when she did hers. But, I figured since this is my last pregnancy, most likely...that I wanted to do it. I'll hang it on the wall in the nursery, I think they look cool..especially after being decorated.

I really wanted to do one of these, being my last pregnancy. I just dont have the room in my house for it

i'd put it in the nursery for the first while..but after that it would be creepy to leave it in a toddlers room haha and i dont have closet space for it!

Ok, they are way cooler than I pictured! When you get the bust in there it has a whole shape, not just a round belly like I imagined. Have fun, I can't wait to see yours decorated!

I will be doing one, I was planning to wait until 36 weeks or so. Do you thing that's too late? I just love the casts that I have seen! And Can't wait to have this amazing memento Big Smile

I don't think it would be too late, at all. I just wanted to make sure I get it done before "go" time, so I didn't waste my money on the supplies and not get to do it. My belly is big enough now that it will look like a pregnant belly, and I'm actually feeling good at this point too.

At first I really wanted to do one, but then I thought about it, and was like what the hell would I do with it? Its huge, its not something I would want to display in my house, and it would end up in a corner of the garage/basement gathering dust/getting broken. I'm getting maternity photos done instead
