poison freaking ivy

I somehow managed to get poison ivy this week.  It started on my eyelids, but went away quick on the eyelids.  But now it is on my right hand in between my fingers and it is driving me crazy.  Dr. told me I could use hydrocortisone cream on it.  I think I'm going to try some calamine lotion.  It doesn't say anywhere on the bottle you can't take use it if you're pregnant.  Only I could do manage to do this.......

    I'm sorry.  Sounds awful.  Are you sure its poison ivy and not eczema or something?  I've heard its really common in pregnancy.  Eyelids is a weird spot for poison ivy.
    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    I went to the doctor, I know for poison ivy.  He said on my eyelids, it may have been just a rash. I'm 99.9% sure on my fingers it is definitely poison ivy.  Unfortunately, I've had it tons and I know that's what it is, it's about to drive me crazy.

    You can also take Benadryl which should help with the itching/swelling. Hope you feel better!

    Yuk!!!  Sounds awful.  Cortisone usually helps and is safe... I had PUPPS and practically bathed in cortisone at the end of my pregnancy with DD

    I don't know about using it on your eyelids,but for your hands there is this stuff called Zanfel. It's SUPER expensive...about $40 for a couple ounces but when I had poison oak for about a month it was a life saver. It's some sort of scrub and was the only thing that gave me relief.  It's OTC and you can ask your pharmasist!

    EDIT: I have no idea if it's safe during pregnancy so you would want to check on that as well. GL!
