I had a hard time when each of mine turned one because they were no longer babies. But then I realized that they become more and more fun and their personalities really start to shine. My youngest is going to be 3 now in Aug and my other two are 4 & 9. Trust me it goes by fast. Just enjoy it everyday.
It was bittersweet for me. I loved the baby stage and I knew it was coming to an end. I had a hard time imaging loving anything more than the stage I was at.... boy was I wrong. I love this age. I've loved everything since she's turned one. It's all so much more fun. I still look at her and miss my little baby but every day I'm still amazed at this little girl that we made and everything she is.
When Nicholas turned 1, I looked back at what felt like the longest year of my life in many ways and realized how much a baby learns in just one year of their life and how in reality, the year went by so fast. You bring home a newborn who does nothing at all and in just twelve short months you have a little person who can laugh, claps, walk, play with toys and feed themselves. It's amazing!
And now that I know how brief and bittersweer babyhood is, I am enjoying Adrianna so much more!
Thanks ladies for the advice. Yesterday, was his party and today is his actual birthday and I have been reminiscing about his birth. I miss my baby, but I can't wait to go through his new milestones with my new toddler.

Matthew turns 1 next Saturday. I can't even answer this post because I get so emotional. It's bittersweet. Four sentences and I'm already crying!
