Always lose your MP or have bloody show before labor begins?

So, as compulsively as I have been checking the t.p. lately, I haven't lost my mucous plug or had bloody show yet. (Realizing that I ould have missed those signs, too.) Soperhaps for 2+ time moms, do you have to see one of these signs before labor begins? Or can contractions begin beforehand?

    Nope, everyone doesn't have those pre-labor.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    Nope.  Not everyone even notices their mucos plug (I don't check before I flush 10x in the middle of the night half asleep...come on) and some don't lose it until they are in labor and don't even realize it.  Bloody show is a sign you are in active labor & you once again might not even know it....esp if it happens once you're at the hospital....if it ever does at all.

    I did not have bloody show or see MP before I went in to labor with my DD, my bloody show didn't start until I was in the hospital in labor.

    i can't think of a single thing that *always* happens before labor.  sadly, there isn't really any hard and fast indicator of when you will go into labor.  i lost my MP with charlie at 32 weeks.  he wasn't born for 5 weeks.  my mom lost her MP 3 times when she was pregnant with my brother.  it kept growing back. 

     

    the wait is the worst, and i am definitely checking my TP religiously even though i know it doesn't mean anything.

    Thanks, Girls. You are giving me a shred of hope that it could happen sooner! She's got an eviction notice set for next Saturday if all else fails...

    I lost my mucus plug 6 days before Ethan was born.  I definitely knew I was losing it though

    nope everyone doesnt have that.  I did lose my MP and then had a bloody show, but by the time I had the bloody show  I was already in active labor at the hospital.

    I never lost my MP with DD.  My water broke and that was that.
