So I am timing contractions, right now they are 3-4 min apart, lasting 30-40 seconds.... but it's only been like 20 min...... when do I call? I am a scheduled c section!

I would wait til they are going on an hr, or close to it. I would also drink and lay on your left side and see if they go away. If you live far from the hospital, or are nervous, than call your dr. Good Luck

I think it depends on the reason you were a scheduled c/s. If it's medically necessary, then call now! If not, then I say wait until it's been a full hour and then call. Either way - GOOD LUCK!!

I'd try to wait it out another 20 minutes and if they are still coming, then call.

My doctor said to call when I have an hour of minute-long contractions That are consistently 2-3 minutes apart. Also, we learned in yoga that when your cervix dialates, the room between the top of your uterus and the bottom of your breasts shrinks. At 0cm, you should be able to fit all 5 fingers of a flat hand in that gap, 4 fingers at 2cm, 3 at 4cm, 2 at 6, 1 at 8, and zero at 10. Not sure if this really works, but give it a try and let us know!! Good luck

Have you tried laying on your left side and drinking lots of water? This will help determine if it is false labor. Unless you want to be in labor???

I would change whatever you're doing...walk around/drink water/lay on your left side & wait an hour and see if they're still coming consistently...and if they are call! GL

The reccomended time is an hour but with you being a scheduled c-section you might want to go ahead and call.

If there is a medical reason for the c-section, I would call right away. You don't want the baby descending down the birth canal if the c-section is going to happen.
