3rd Trimester

just in time for my shower--that's great

I've been so lucky this pregnancy and haven't had to deal with any swelling at all.  My shower is today, and last night my feet decided to swell like MAD.  My ankle bones completely disappeared. 

They're still swollen this morning, I'm nauseated, and my shower starts in three hours. 

Thank you, pregnancy gods, for deciding to make me feel like crap on my party day.  :(

Oh well--gonna suck it up and still have a great time.

    Try drinking alot of water and putting your feet up as much as possible beforehand.

  • That sucks! My feet get pretty swollen too.  Do you have time to go get a good, deep foot massage?  I had one a couple weeks ago and it mde a huge difference!  My swelling is heat related too so soaking in cool water helps a bit too. 

    Regardless have fun today and and no one will notice your ankles, or lack of!

  • I didn't have to deal with nausea but I drove 4.5 hours Friday night and my feet were soooo swollen. They stayed swollen through the party. So I just grabbed a big comfy chair, put up my feet and everyone just circulated around me.  It was great! I walked as much as I could when I needed to and as soon as the bulk of the guests left I was back to feet up.  People understand! Drink water with lemon and I hope you feel well enough to enjoy!!!

  • Oooh, let me know how your shower goes!!!

    I had my first cankles a couple weeks ago.  Just drink lemon and water--it seems to help and keep those feet up, up, up!
