Bargain hunters, help me out...

I'm participating in a community flea market and I have lots to get rid of -- only good quality items, as I'm donating the mediocre stuff just to save myself the effort.

I want to price things to sell, but hopefully make a little $ too.  I also plan to discount everything 50% as the end of the day nears, and whatever doesn't sell gets donated.  That being said, in general, what do you consider "good" prices for...

Brand new, still-in-original-packaging items -- mostly baby/kids stuff and some kitchen items? (e.g., 50% off retail, 75% off, etc.)

Good condition women's clothing?  (Name brands like Gap, CK, Roxy, VS, Juicy, Lucky, etc.)  

*Jeans

*Collared shirts/sweaters/work-type attire

*Tees and tanks

*Casual and fancy dresses

    I'm really cheap, so I'd want at least 50% off everything. Stick out tongue That said, for the brand new stuff I might buy for 30% off, depending on the item (e.g., I'd want a bigger discount on baby clothes than on say, a crib).

    I'm cheap too. I was in Savers yesterday and saw a cute Roxy dress for $14....there was no way I was going to pay that for a used dressStick out tongue

    The max I would spend at a garage sale on clothes is $5-10 depending on the brand.  HTH

    OK, thanks.  I was thinking more like 75% off for most of the new stuff, since it's nothing to-die-for (or I wouldn't be getting rid of it!).  And for clothes, I was going for the $5 and under range, except for maybe the nicer dresses.

    Renee - I know what you mean about Savers.  I always go with my mom on senior citizen days so we can get 20% off.  They are getting more and more $$, although sometimes I don't mind because it's way more organized and has lots more selection than a typical second-hand shop.

    Sounds good to me!  MH and I were at a few garage sales yesterday, and I was just commenting on how too many people overprice their used stuff, and it doesn't sell.  We made $350 on our garage sale two years ago, and were that successful because I think we priced things cheaply.  When I start seeing prices like $10 for a Scooby Doo stuffed animal (like I did yesterday!), it makes me not even want to look at anything else they have, since they obviously are going to be overpriced.
