Feeling like a lucky girl today

My husband is currently on a deployment in Iraq and he got in touch with me today to tell me that there was something he needed me to pick up from Best Buy and send to him. Something about GPS parts and humvees... I had no idea what he was talking about, but I just said ok. I got there and asked for the person that was supposed to have this part waiting for him and she hands me a gift-wrapped package with ribbons tied around it and says, "Happy Birthday from your husband." He had called them earlier in the day and bought a digital SLR for me as an early birthday gift! Sweetest thing ever.

That is the sweetest thing ever! My birthday is Monday, my DF is here, not over seas and i'm not expecting anything half as sweet as that. I wish he was more romantic!

Awww this warmed my heart! Happy early birthday to you too! I so admire your positive attitude through this deployment...I have seen many of your posts on the MF board and on here.....you are an inspiration to other military spouses for sure! Keep hanging in there and enjoy your new gift!
