counting weeks ?

Ok this may sound stupid but I really get confused on counting the pregnancy weeks and figuring out what week to read about when I'm looking at things.

I understand counting from the LMP (April 16 for me) which would make me 5 weeks today, but it's really the first day of my 6th week...so if I were to look at a "pregnancy week by week" type thing, would I look at 5 or 6? 

Does that make any sense? I know it really doesn't matter, but it's driving me crazy.

DS (7 years old) from FET in 2010
DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012
TTC 3rd and final!: IUI #1 in progress!

    You are 4 days behind me. So for this week I read everything about 5 weeks. My week change is on Monday so I will start reading 6 weeks at that point.. Hope that helps

    I have the What to Expect iPhone app and it is currently displaying week 7 info even though I am 6w 2d. This is because I am in my 7th week. So I think in your case, you would look at week 6 info.

    This! I have the same app and a book called Pregnancy Day by Day. I'm 7w3d and until I reach 8w I will be in my 8th week of pregnancy. At 8w1d I start my 9th week

    Yea, I am 6weeks so if people ask I say I am in my 7th week. If you say to people I am 6w3d they look at you like your head fell off. Or I say I am in my 2nd month. I find a lot of older people can't get the concept of weeks once you are further along. I laugh hysterically at my mother when I would say 17 weeks and my mother would sit there and count out the months in her head.

    :) umm i never figured that out, so i read through to about 8 then stop LOL I'm soo bad, i cn never just be content to read where I am, I'm the kid who skipped to the end of the book to see what happened so i could settle down enough to read the whole story LOL
