blood test results

Hi ladies,

So I had blood work done yesterday to test my HCG and progesterone levels and it's showing I'm somewhere in my 5th week, which obviously, is not where I thought I was at.  I have to go in tomorrow to get more blood work done to see if the HCG levels are rising or falling.  I could really use some good thoughts... I'm worried.  I have a bad feeling.  But, we'll see what the results bring tomorrow, I guess.  Thanks...Embarrassed

  • I'm definitely thinking of you.  Unless you were using an OPK, I definitely wouldn't worry.  Lots of people ovulate at different times than they think they should (middle of their cycle).  Keep us updated.
  • Lindyanne, i definitely wasn't using an OPK because we had decided we were going to put babymaking on hold until hubby got back from his deployment (surprise! that didn't happen!).  I hadn't been charting or anything, and I can't really remember when the first day of my last period was so I'm trying to be optimistic.  Besides, I haven't had a regular cycle since I went off the pill 10 months ago (as little as 27 days and as long as 36 days).  It's just so stinking hard to not let your mind go to the worst place, ya know?

This afternoon my acid reflux and nausea were kicking in big time, so I am telling myself those are really, really good signs :) lol

  • those are good signs!  if you need any meals or anything let me know. I didn't have any aversions or issues when I was pg but my friend just tells my husband to cook whatever and she'll eat it. She can't look at food or talk about it but she'll choke it down. I'd love to make you a few things if you're interested.

Yep, this was my thought exactly, too.  Good thoughts coming your way!

Thank you!  I can actually eat pretty much anything right now.  My morning sickness is really weird - I only get nauseous after I eat, but luckily I am eating pretty much everything now!  My sister, however, couldn't eat anything for the first 5 months of her pregnancy with her twins (she's currently 29 weeks) and was on meds for her "all-day" sickness.  She didn't even know she was having twins until she went in for an IV after throwing up blood 2 months into her pregnancy and they did an ultrasound and Surprise! Fraternal twins! lol  She was shocked but she knew why she was so sick!
