I have been in weddings before and never received one, but I got one today for the wedding I'm in next week (I'm the MOH). Is this weird, new, or do most people do this? Just curious.
We did separate invites for our rehearsal dinner. Every single wedding that we've been in, we have also gotten separate invites for the rehearsal dinner.
I never been to a rehearsl dinner that I haven't gotten an invitation. Its the norm around here.
Ditto. With the sort of parties/dinners they throw now, you really need a head count. Sometimes, the RD invitation (and the RD) was nicer than the one to the wedding.
I sent them out for my wedding. I wanted to make sure that spouses/significant others knew they were included and also the time and place. I got really cute ones from Gatsby.com.

I fully admit though, I probably never would have even thought to do it if it weren't all the rage on my local Knot board at the time.

Re: Invitation for Rehearsal Dinner?
If I would of had one, I would have done invites.
