I am debating on whether or not to get another crib set or give #2 #1's crib set and start on the Toddler set for #1. However, #1 won't be able to use the comforter until she is out of the crib.
not yet. I'm due in 3 weeks and we don't know what we're having. Both kids will be sharing a room. DD has a neutral bedding because we didn't find out with her either. So, when Baby#2 is born, we'll buy new stuff for both, I think. If its a girl, they'll match, if it's a boy, they'll coordinate. PBK has a couple of patterns in boy and girl colors. I can't wait to do the room again!
Yes. #1 was a boy so we did a boy nursery, and #2 is a girl so we did a pink nursery. Actually, I did not buy it, my sister had an adorable girl bedding set from my niece that we are using. And I just sold DS's whole boy bedding set on Craigs List for $100!
MIL spent a huge was of cash on O's and all I use is the bed skirt. The quilt is on the wall, the sheet is scratchy, and I use a breathable bumper.
No matter what gender this LO is, I will be getting solid color sheets (I love the velour ones from carters) that coordinate with whatever I choose to do with their room.
No. I re-used DD's. #1 went into a twin bed and got all new bedding and #2 is using the old crib with the old bedding. I really didn't see the point...
We bought a new breathable bumper and some sheets, a throw blanket for DD#1 (she is in a hand-me-down crib, new room, new colors). The nursery stuff is staying put.
Technically, no. But I would if one hadn't already been bought for me. When I was pregnant with DD everyone swore I was having a boy, and I fell in love with a PBK set that was on super-clearance. So 2 different friends bought it for me w/o me knowing. When we found out it was a girl they said they'd sell it on eBay. Neither one has done so yet, so I'm using one of them regardless of gender this time around. It's decently neutral...I'd say it leans more towards a boy than a girl, but it's cute and mostly primary colors anyway.
We are keeping both kids in cribs as logn as possible, so I will get more crib sheets and matching decorations, but I don't think I'm getting a whole crib set.
I will most likely give L's set to the baby (it's gender-neutral) and get her some girly sheets.
Re: Did you buy another crib bedding set for #2?
No way.

I got a new toddler bedding set and moved the baby into the old nursery.
