Today at the store... I was buying a pack of up and up diapers, which we just started using this week... anyway, a lady asked me if i liked them. I said so far for the price they are great. she responds "I tried them once, but I had to change my daughter 4 or 5 times a day when I was using them, I prefer pampers because I only need to change her once or twice a day"

Ummm... Im pretty sure your problem is that you only change your daughters diaper every 8 hours!!!! lol! Doesnt that just sound mean to have your kid sit in their own pee for hours and hours? I can see if they are sleeping or at night... but during the day?

I did say something lol I said "I have a feeling the problem isnt the diaper... its that there is an 8 hour build up of pee" and i walked away lol i was horrified! poor baby

Twice a day, whaaaat? I mean, I know Pampers can go up to 12 but that's for night time (really). How awful, that poor baby and I wonder if she has a crazy diaper rash.

I highly doubt a mom who doesnt care enough to change her kids diaper would care enough to put desitin on a sore heiney! some people stink!

I change my kid every hour - hour and a half (except at night)...then again, I'm a little neurotic. But twice a day! Someone should make her wear Depends and have her sit in her own pee for eight hours straight...see how her a$$ likes it..

Was her kid with her? How old was the child? Granted, 2x/day isn't good no matter how old you are but if her kid is/was a lot older you don't change them as often because they aren't going as often (and I'm talking toddler age).

exactly. right before we PT'd griffin he would somtimes only go through 3 diapers a day (depending on poops or not)... he just doesn't pee a ton - and is on the move so much it's not so simle ot change him often. He has only had diaper rash maybe 2x's in his life - when having diarrhea/sick.

don't be SO quick to judge... and chances are the mom was just overstating how few diapers she uses.

baby was with her... , maybe 2-3 months. she was buying size 1 so the baby was tiny

Someone on my FB was bragging recently about how they figured out they could change less diapers a day by using the Huggies or Pampers overnights that are "good for 12 hours" or whatever. Umm, I don't think that's the point. ::eye roll::

There's a mom who lives in my complex who uses size 4 diaper for her 5 month old simply so that she can go longer without changing him. Makes me sad.
