My former roommate just friend requested me on FB ( he lived w/ my ex & I). Since I moved from NJ to MO 4 yrs ago he has gotten married & had a baby. His profile pic is of him & his son. I wrote on his wall & said " Hey! It's so good to see you on here, how are you? Your son is so precious" His response is: "Thank you sweetie, but he's in Heaven now".

I feel awful for saying something, I just pray I didn't hurt him. Crying

    Oh no, how awful!! I am sure he wasn't hurt by your comment, I am sure he knew you were sincere and did not know. That poor guy :(

    If you didn't know, there's not much you can do about it. I'm sure it didn't hurt him in a way in which he thought you said that with the intention of hurting him- there is a difference. It's like when someone asks about your pgcy who you didn't tell you had a m/c- it hurts, but you know they're not saying it to hurt you, so it doesn't hurt as much as it could.

    I don't think that would hurt him any more than he's already hurting. Probably did just the opposite, and made him feel good that you commented on him. We all know that we appreciate when people acknowledge our lost little ones.

    That is terrible :( I saw his comment on your wall. What a precious photo...I'm sure you did not upset him. If I were you I would even offer to talk about his son with him if he'd like to. I know that can be a great healing tool for lots of people. Poor guy...
