What do you do for teething?

LO has been showing signs of teething for weeks - drooling, chewing on things, etc. but last night was horrible.... she was extremely fussy, crying, and constantly touching her gums - it was an awful night.  What do you do on these awful nights?  Orajel?  Tylenol?  My husband wanted to give her tylenol, but i wasn't comfortable doing that without talking to a dr.  I have an appt today as a follow up to her ear infection, but was just curious as to what others do. (I also ordered a Spohie this week too and am waiting for it to arrive). Thanks!

  • Hylands teething tablets....dissolve 2 or 3 under the tongue or you can dissolve them in a bottle. We've only used tylenol once when she was SCREAMING in pain. She also had an ear infection at the time. Teething + ear infection= Hellllll

Hylands are a God send! If she is running a fever, you can give her Tylenol too.

  • DS hasn't been unbearable yet but he's had a few moments.  He loves his Sophie.  Putting pacis in the freezer has helped.  Good luck!  Hope dr appt goes well.

DS is a little uncomfortable and he really likes to chew on a washcloth that I wet down with very cold water (and squeeze out). He's not too into the frozen teething rings yet.

I plan to pick up some teething tablets today.
