I was invited to a woman from my church's children's graduation. One is from high school and the other is from grammar school. I am not able to attend the one from high school's party but might attend the one from grammar schools since they are on different days. My question is without being cheap how much would you give. I really don't consider them close friends and was surprised to be invited personally. However we also are a one income family and two grad gifts for people can be costly. I do think the one from high school should probably get more but just wanted to see what everyone else thought. As for buying them gifts I have no idea what they like. Thanks.
Re: How much would you give?
I agree. I think they are just looking to get gifts.
Totally agree with all of this. No way would I be giving a gift for a grammar school graduation (I mean, seriously?) and if you aren't close to the high school graduate, I would think a $20 itunes gift card would be fine.
for grammer school-um nothing-a card perhaps but no gift (i find anything under high school/college graduations quite rediculous personally).
high school you could do a gas gift card (if they are driving for summer work or to school), food gift card--what college kid doesn't like to eat, pens, notebooks, book of quotes, or just $20 is a good gift for a graduation!
