Everything went well (long)
Hey Ladies! Thanks for all that thoughts and prayers!!
My surgery went as planned. I only remember bits here and there. Matt told me the doctor said that everything looked good. He said that my ovaries were pinned to my pelvic bone and that may be what was causing my pain. There was something else minor but Matt couldn't recall. The nurse will be calling me tomorrow for more details. Matt did say there was no mention of endo, so that's good. I have to go back to see him in 2 weeks and I assume we will discuss our path forward. Looks like we are out this cycle bc I am on pelvic rest for 2 weeks. He said for sure one week but it still may be too painful until 2 weeks. It's up to me and my pain tolerance.
Recovery wise, I am doing great. Once I was able to fully wake up I got up and got moving. Nothing strenuous. I have taken a few naps too. Not sure if it's me or the pain meds but I feel better than I thought I would. (probably the pain meds, lol!) I have 3 incisions, one in my belly button, one at/above my right ovary and one in the center-lower below my bikini line. I am beginning to get stiff in the midsection, so I imagine I will be feeling it tomorrow. As well as the gas in my upper chest, back and shoulders. It feels weird, just hard to take a deep breath. Laying on the heating pad seems to help.
Matt and Taylor have been taking great care of me! Love them! Thankfully Lyla is with MIL because I am not supposed to lift her and my incisions are sore. Can't wait to see her tomorrow though!
Thanks again for the kind words!! I will update when I hear from the nurse tomorrow.
