Why do people use the terms prego and preggers? I mean seriously its not like It is so much harder to write out pregnant. I mean pregnant and preggers has the same amount of letters in each, so....? I can understand saying preggers (maybe) but when you write it, it is no different then pregnant. IDK, this never bothered me until I came to the bump and now it is just annoying lol

I say and type both prego & preggers. Sometimes pregnant too. Just depends on which word I'm thinking when I type.

Prego always reminds me of spaghetti sauce though, haha.

I used to type prgo all the time when I was on here with my first. I was just lazy. Now I think it is annoying! I think it just ran it's course. You don't hear us saying Da Bomb when people tell us they are pregnant

ughhhh it drives me crazy for some reason!! I don't know what it is about it that gets on my nerves, but it is terrible. The only thing even remotely similar that I type is "preg" just because it is an abbreviation and I ONLY use that when emailing with my best friend. I would never ever ever be able to say prego or preggers. Gross. It bothers me just typing it. Blech.

Along those lines, why is preggo and preggers frowned upon, but AF is a standard reference to your period? I guess calling AF a biotch is just too much fun.

They have always bothered me, maybe because I can only think of Juno and 16 and pregnant when I hear them, and as a younger mom who looks like i can still be in highschool, I dont want people thinking I am immature because of the way I approach pregnancy. But that is just me.

Also, prego is a terrible sauce, not a wonderful state of being! Stick out tongue

I am personally not a fan of either word either, but if someone wants to use it, it doesn't really bother me. I'd just rather say pregnant because there's no cutesy factor with it.

Well for me AF really is a a nickname as opposed to preggers that takes just as long to write out as pregnant. I don't know I just picture a teeny bopper juming around say IM PREGGERS OH YAH! UH HUH UH HUH

You just reminded me..I must begin using this term again! lol

As for the preggers/preggo thing I would type and say pregnant as appose to the other forms. No reason...just cause. It doesn't bother me though when people use it. I just don't.

On the whole AF thing... I type AF on here, but wouldn't ever say it out loud that way. And when I am talking about it in "real life" either speaking or typing, I would say period. Weird!

I personally don't use the terms preggers or prego. I don't like them, but I don't care when other people use them. I will type out pregnant or if I want to abbreviate it I'll just type pg.

I use the word preggo sometimes just bc i think it's cute. i never use preggers, but it doesnt really bother me. i use pregnant too. whatever i'm in the mood for.

I think pregnant just sounds technical. Like sex, penis, vagina, etc. We just make up words for something that sounds less so. Making love, making whoopie, doing the nasty, hooking up, ***, member, hoo ha, vajayjay, etc
