I am telling them today because I am quitting pretty soon.
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

I told my job between the 6th and 7th week because I thought I would be out of work a lot for appointments. The doctor I started out with was insane -- that's another story -- but now I'm going on Saturdays for the most part, but I'm glad to have gotten it out of the way early on.

I just told at 24 weeks. I work from home and see clients to my manager/boss does not EVER see me. However, my clients SEE me and they now have noticed so I dropped ball with them before my boss. SO, I figured I would tell him before he heard through the grape vine from one of my clients.
I am telling them today because I am quitting pretty soon.
Look at you 7 weeks!! XOXOXO
I told my boss right away b/c we are a small company and he knew that I was doing IF treatments. I had to keep missing work etc.
I haven't told him that I am not coming back after Baby J is born, I'll probably tell him that in August.
Hiiiii!! I forgot I was lurking over here when I posted. Oh, well! How are you, dear? Are you as excited about quitting work as I am??
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

I told them at 7/8 weeks because we were preparing for a major conference that involved a 90+ hr work week and I wanted them to understand if there were days I didn't feel well or were exhausted that I wasn't just being lazy.
I am so excited! I have been dreaming of being a SAHM for years!
Yes! I have always wanted to be one, too! I am so blessed to have the option.

I told at 10 weeks. mostly becuase I was tired of keeping the secret! I found it much easier when I wasnt feeling well at work. my original plan was to wait for 12 weeks, but I couldn't take it any more!
My office knew at about 6 weeks, because I couldn't keep it in. But we are a satellite office with just two of us here full time, and another lady that comes twice a week. I didn't tell the main office until right at 12 weeks.

I am hopefully telling them next week. I have been waiting to see if my company was going to give me the raise we talked about and waiting to see if my client actually would make the official offer to hire me full time. Looks like the second is about to come, so then I will talk to my bosses about matching and maternity leave. Oh if the offer does not come then, I am going to tell them next week. Its killing me not to.
So either my bosses just think I am getting fat or that maybe I am expecting! Guess I'll find out soon.

I told work right after I went to the Dr. (5 weeks) simply because of how physical my job can be and the fact that I had some complications in the beginning.
This. A few of my coworkers knew, but this is when I dropped the bomb on my boss. I went in expecting the worst (she can be horrible sometimes) but she was suprisingly happy and supportive. Even gave me a hug, which almost made me poop my pants! I probably could've waited longer since I wasn't exactly showing yet, but it's nice to get it out of the way...
I told at 16 weeks, to help them plan for the transition of not having me for several months. I wasn't really showing yet, so I probably could have put it off for a while longer.

Legally, since you have told your boss you are pregnant, he can ask you if you are planning to come back now. Since you have brought up the topic, now he can ask questions.
I told my boss at my job interview, I was 13 weeks. She asked me after I was hired if I planned to come back after the baby was born- legally, she could. BUt I assured her I wouldn't interview for a job I didn't intend to keep for more than 6 months.
I think somewhere between 10-13 weeks. With appointments and the fact that we needed to get things set up at work for when I am off, I preferred to do it a bit sooner.

So exciting! I can't freaking wait! When I can't sleep at night I think about being home with my babe and what we are going to do together etc.
