TTC After a Loss

I really dislike health insurance companies

Argh!  I hate that I'm still having to deal with bills related to my miscarriage. It's like a punch in the gut. I don't understand what the eff my explanation of benefits bill means...and I like to think that I'm a relatively smart person.  Then when you call the insurance company they treat you like you're an idiot. Stupid d-bags.

And holy hell...karotype testing is $2500!!  That's crazy.

Thanks.  Vent over.

  • I don't know your situation but I just learned yesterday that my appeal was approved and my insurance is covering my "interruption" since it was for medical reasons for the baby. The woman at the clinic suggested I appeal it- something I didn't even know you could do. Maybe you can try to do the same, and get some portion of it covered at least?? GL.

And to think, some people think we don't need change to our health care system.

I am so sorry you have to pay so much.  I wish our Health Care system was more like France's system.  (They have the best coverage in the world, FWIW)

Yup.  I think we need more than change...how about a major overhaul.  If only I could speak French...

  • Yes, healthcare coverage can definitely suck!!!

    They suck ass.

We just got our $3000 karyotype bill yesterday, on top of the $1500 oop for the RPL panel.

    I hate them.

It's absolutely terrible.  I'm waiting for the bill from our DNA sequencing and I'm afraid how high that's going to be.  I feel your pain!

  • I ended up having to pay my deductable twice because the Dr office, Hospital, and Insurance company couldn't be bothered to talk to each other.  It was awesome.

I'm sorry - it does suck.  This is all too terrible as it is without having to fight insurance companies.
