Crazy (Terrifiying) Story

Criers like me, go ahead and read it, you won't cry, just freak out.

What do you think?  It's easy to want to judge, but we all know how sneaky these kids can be.  Cole can open lever doors.  Scary!

Re: Crazy (Terrifiying) Story

  • I'm really trying hard not to be Judge Judy McJudgerson, here; but, why wasn't this child sleeping in a crib (or a PnP)?  I find it odd that the parents thought nothing of their very young toddler "watching television in the other room," with their other children, at such a late hour.  Regardless of the hour, I'm not sure how I feel about a 14 month old being "supervised" by other young children for ANY length of time.  DS is 14 months; and, being as mobile and active as he is, there is no way that he could open a door on his own.

  • Yeah, I totally judged for the first half of the article.  But earlier this week I left Cole watching tv in the living room so I could go upstairs and take a shower.  He somehow made it through a baby gate, opened a door, climbed the stairs (which thankfully he is quite good at), and made it to the bathroom door in the period of 5 minutes.  Also, as I mentioned Cole can open lever doors.  My MIL's backdoor is a lever door.  I usually remind her *6* times that she has to keep the door locked before I leave him there.  So I'm not sure if I'm judging, or somewhat understanding.  Although I do agree the kid should be in bed that late at night.  But I know plenty of kids who are in toddler beds already because they were climbing out of cribs.  So...?
  • So freaky and glad that bus driver saw her!
