back pain during your contrax??

hi ladies...contraction question!  for the past week i have been feeling these twinges in my lower back- almost like i pulled something but it comes and goes, a couple of times a day.  Today I am finally noticing that it is also coming with a cramp in the front, low belly-  has anyone else had back pain during their BH or other contractions??? i had back labor with DS but i don't remember feeling this as early on before.  just wondering if this is normal..?! tia!

    I have sometimes with a BH contrax, it will spread to my back and then lower belly. Also didn't have this the first time (but did have back labor) Midwife said it is nothing until it becomes more regular.

    With every contraction.  It's awful.  I had back labor with DS, so I know I'll probably have it again this time!  Lovely.

    yah I had it really badly last week, it eased off, and now today I'm really aching. I've found that when I wear something that supports my belly well, the back pain tends to go away or at least not trigger BH. I'm breaking down and buying a brace today. I'm at risk for PTL and don't want my back to start anything it shouldn't. Laying down and drinking water (the classics) also seemed to mellow out the pain but you should certainly time them if they seem to be getting regular or more intense.

    wow, it looks like it is another one of those things 2nd timers have to look forward to, along with (more) stretch marks!! I can't believe i didn't put 2 and 2 together until today. Hopefully it's a sign of progress at this point.  Thanks ladies!!  :)
