I know it could be worse but

Please let me have a pity party for Just a minute...So dh left to go out of town Monday morning at 6:30 and was supposed to be back yesterday! Well I got word on Tuesday that he wasn't going to be home until Thursday afternoon. Then Yesterday I found out he won't be home until tomorrow afternoon...He has never been gone this long in the 7 years we have been together..Thanks for waiting until I have 2 babies..I am looking forward to a mani/pedi on Saturday and Lunch with a friend..Big Smile   Hugs to all the Military families that husbands are gone for months at a time...I just wish I had SOME  family in the area not 8 hours away..

  • Oh, man--a 1-year-old and a 2 month old? You have my sympathy. Hang in there, Mama!

  • Sounds like you have your hands full.  Take care and hang in there.  We all deserve to have a pity party once in a while.  I had to have one yesterday!!

  • that is hard. The closer it gets to him being home, the less energy you probably have so it must be really stressfull to rally for another day just to find out that you have to hang on for another! Are you in a playgroup? It really helps the time go by and a good one will have lots of activities. I run a group on meetup.com (the website is where we make playdates but we meet in person) and you might want to check out something in your area. Its hard having to do it on your own for any amount of time and a playgroup can really help.
  • I know exactly how you feel - that was my week last week.  And then, he found out last Thursday that he had to fly to Cleveland on Monday to fix some sort of 'emergency situation'.  And he spent Saturday travelling to his sister's graduation, 6 hours away, so I really only saw him on Sunday before he flew out again.  I'm starting to feel like a single mom. :(

Can I join your pity party?  I hear misery loves company?
