why does everyone say clomis is a tricky drug? Just wondering since this is my first cycle taking it. i had blood work done before i was put on it and go back on CD 22(CD 21 is memorial day) to get blood work done again. I heard that i should have an u/s too so i will ask about that at my next appt. anything else? TIA
Re: Clomid tricky?
Clomid can have crazy side effects. I have encountered hot flashes, headaches, mood swings and a couple of others. also clomid can thin your ute lining and create cysts.
Day 14 u/s should be your follicle study to see is you are ovulating and with a good size follicle.
Clomid can cause a lot of adverse s/e which is why you should be monitored with u/s while taking it. Clomid can cause thinned uterine lining, ovarian cysts and HOM just to name a few.
I assume you are getting the Clomid from an GYN? My advice is if you need IF treatment you should ask to be refrerred to a RE.

Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
here here. I personally had 2 ultrasounds while taking clomid. It was because of said u/s's that it was discovered that Clomid had an adverse effect on my lining. My RE's words: "No fertilized egg in it's right mind would try to implant in that".
me taking clomid = never get pregnant.

Kdodge, you will love this:
My RE wants to put me on Femara. He said it wasn't necessary for me to have an HSG because I have no history of blockages. He also didn't think it necessary that DH have an SA since he's knocked up 2 other women.
I begged to differ, of course...on both counts.
I have an HMO, so no other options other than to stand up for how I would like my treatment administered.
For real. I was shocked. I tuned him out after 'I don't think it's necessary that you have an HSG...' but I think he was rambling on about how I have no family history of blocked tubes.
Yeah... anyways.
I got my way.
