1. I'm planning on pressure washing and painting the front porch trim, ceiling and floor this weekend. Also hope to paint the window that looks out onto the front porch.
2. Later this summer - I want to get some new entry way lights on either side of the front door.
3. I would like to install some wall sconces with mini shades on either side of the fireplace and get a nice oil painting to go over the fireplace.
4. Hope to totally overhaul the guest bedroom - furniture, paint, etc. Just not sure what direction I want to go in!

Oh goodness. For one, we have to clean out the bedroom closets, take things that need to be donated and clear things out.
Even if I wasn't PG, I needed to overhaul the second bedroom. Right now it's our cluttered office. Now , I feel like it's even more of a challenge, lol. We've got to clean things out, deal with my school stuff (I have no idea where it will go, we need to buy storage items of some kind), and get new bookcase(es).
We're in the process of removing all of our landscaping and putting in new stuff.
What we'd REALLY like to do is finish off the bonus room upstairs...add in a small office and a bathroom so that I can totally declutter the downstairs of toys! I doubt that will happen though.
We still need to finish painting.....ugh....lots of that to do.
Right now we're working on moving all of DH's close out of the closet that is in the baby's room and putting them in another closet. Plus we're still putting the finishing touches on the nursery.
In the fall we hope to start building and expanding our deck. We also need to pressure wash the house. I'd like to get some landscaping going on, however I have a black thumb and I'm tired of buying plants and killing them.
We're in the process of giving our kitchen a make-over. We are finished with the new lights, hardware, and paint. The countertops are being installed Monday and hopefully the floors will be in by the end of next week.
Next, we want to replace all of our flooring in our house. Right now we have carpet, and it is really starting to look bad. We just measured the house and are starting to look at quotes.
After that we will definitely be broke and it will be awhile before we do anything else...however, I really would like to paint the outside of our house.
1. Our yard looks a mess and it's embarassing. I would like green grass, not weeds, for just one year - it'd make me so happy. We're working on it.
2. We need to clean out the garage and install some type of storage/organization system. We are the type to believe that cars go in the garage - so beyond the two vehicles we don't have much space to work with. But we need to make better use of what we do have.
3. I need to work on decorative pieces and accents inside. Otherwise, I'm okay will the current colors and structure. Pretty much every room in the house has been painted and we got new floors in the kitchen a couple years ago. I'd still just very much like for my house to just look nicer, more finished.
1) We built our house last Fall and it's still all builder beige in every room. Painting is definitely in our future! I promised my Mom I would paint our guest bathroom this weekend just to get my feet wet... it's small, so it will be a great place to start.
2) I would like to buy some new furniture. We have things from our apartment days plus some family hand-me-downs, but I want to pick out our own things. Specifically a bedroom set and new living room furniture. Main problem is that I don't want to spend the money knowing that we need to be saving up for IF treatments.
3) I would love to get a fruit and vegetable garden going in our backyard, but have no idea what I'm doing. I've gardened up in Ohio before, but it's literally just dig a hole and plant. I have no idea what I'm doing with all this red clay! I need to research this more, but don't know where to start!
Oh and just general purging. We have accumulated so much STUFF that it's unreal. My in-laws are having a garage sale over Memorial Day weekend, so I need to get going through stuff to cart over to their house! I love clearing clutter and making a few bucks along the way!
This is the weekend of the front yard!
) We've got a tree/bush to cut down and I hope to replace it with a dogwood, plant flowers/shrubs,paint the mailbox, and come up with a solution for our front porch.
1) Hope to have a deck in the next couple of weeks.
2) DH is in the process of building a shed. Hopefully that will be finished before the baby gets here.
3) Painting the nursery.
Put a roof and handrails on our deck.
Put fence up in the backyard, we have the stuff DH just needs to get on it.
Paint our whole house; mainly nursery, kitchen and bathrooms.
Pull carpet out of nursery and both bathrooms and replace with laminate hardwood (probably).
Clean rest of carpets in the house.
Oh and definetly do something to the yards but that prob won't happen till next year. I want a vegetable garden and flower beds.
Reorganize our outside storage so that I can reorganize my sons closet,. Once I clean his closet, I can finish putting away his clothes, and then I can clean out the laundry room, to be able to clean the living room... My house isnt really messy just really dis-organized
Oh and I want to buy an area rug for my living room
Window treatments for the sunroom which is connected to our Master BR. OMG I am so stressed out about it too. I've been thinking about this for months now. Our room gets soooo hot during the middle of the day in the summer because there are 10 windows and the sun beats through. It's also really bright in the morning when we are trying to sleep. I don't know why this is such a hard decision for me, but I just can not decide what to do. We need the panels to have black-out lining in them, I guess. But, I also want them to look really beautiful. We have custom window treatments in our kitchen, keeping room and living room so I feel like these should be too...I mean, I don't want to just throw something up there and it not "flow" with the rest of the house. I consulted with an Interior Decorator, but realized we would be talking about spending close to $3,000 before it was all said and done! Yikes! So, I decided I just have to do something myself. Wondow treatments are NOT my thing, so I'm really struggling!
The other thing we have to do (hopefully this weekend) is get control of the greenery that grows on the wall around our fountain by the front door. We have to drill screws into the brick, connect wire to all the screws and then tie the greenery to the wire w/floral tape. It's gonna be a big job, but it really needs to be done.
Something I'd love to do in the future is have a staircase built from our deck to the backyard. Right now, you have to walk downstairs to the basement to get to the backyard or out through the garage and then walk around to the back. It's really annoying when we are grilling out b/c we have to constantly walk through the house to get back and forth from the kitchen to the grill. This would be a very expensive project though, so I'm not sure if we'll ever really do it or not.
Since our house was built last year, the only things on my list are related to decorating. But, I need help...this is so not my forte. I would love to take pictures of my LR/Kitchen and send to someone for help!! Any takers??
Two purchases on my list are new LR furniture (we are using DH's couch and an old chair of mine), and a new bedroom suite. Hopefully someday SOON. That way we can move our BR furniture to the extra room, and finally finish it up!

As far as projects go...we are buying a house next month so we have a lot.
Recreate James' nursery in the new house
Paint the wood paneling in the den
Get rid of wallpaper in the kitchen
Paint the master bedroom, get rid of mirrored 70s style closet doors
Totally redo the master bath (thank goodness its the only bad room in the house).
Redo the fence to encompass the entire lot.
First thing is to declutter. We have a couch, two tv's, and two entertainment centers we need out of the house along with tons of clothes, books, etc. I'm thinking about having a yard sale.
We need some new windows, remove wall paper, replace some light fixtures, new stove, put hardwood floors in the living room, and fence the back yard.
I would love to replace our hand me down furniture too.
You can post them on here.. there are lots of great decorators on this board who I'm sure would give some good advice!
