Would initials DAM be bad?

One of the names we like best for our son starts with a D. The middle name we want to use is a family name that starts with A, and our last name starts with M. Do you think initials DAM would cause any issues? My husband seems to think it would be "cool" to have these initials! Thanks for any opinions!

I think it's fine. If it were a girl, I'd be more afraid. She could end up marrying a guys with a last name starting with "N," then she'd be DAMN!!

I think it would be fine...I would not decide against a name based solely on the way the initials turned out.

Those are my initials...'cause DAM i'm good Seriously though, they are my initials and it's not a big deal at all....DH and I joked that if his name started with an N and I hyphenated it, then that may be a problem!

I don't even think about the initials unless it were something really bad and obvious like A.S.S. I don't think DAM is a big deal at all.

In my opinion, I don't think that it would be a huge deal so if you love the name, then go for it. Initials, however, are the first thing that my DH thinks about for some reason when we're talking names.

Kids wont even know the middle name and even if they do, they won't tease about it...at least they never did with me, no one ever even thought of it.

I don't know why, but the initals are important to me so I would vote against DAM.

I don't want the initials to spell anything, especially for a boy, as he will likely never change his name so he'll be stuck with those initals his whole life and anything he may get monogrammed will spell out DAM.
