What is your opinion on doing something like a registry at BRU and then an Amazon wish list for other items that BRU, Target, etc. do not sell? I'd only have the 1 registry and the wish list and that's it.
Reason being: the car seat, pack and play, stroller and a few other things that we are interested in aren't sold at BRU or other local stores and I have only been able to find them on Amazon in the right style, color, or model.
Is that weird? Is it inconsiderate to guests? Would people be happy because Amazon is a reputable place to buy things?
Just wondering!
Re: Tacky or Not Question.. :)
I don't think it's weird or tacky.
I was just looking at BRU and Target and they don't have the color Chicco KeyFit that I want so I feel your pain!
If you don't mind my asking... how do you think that the person throwing your shower will tell people about it? "She is registered at BRU and they also set up an Amazon Wish List, you just go to the site and type in her email?"

That is EXACTLY my problem!
My family is very internet savvy and the cousins always set up wish lists for their birthdays and Christmas. My sister is throwing the shower and I'd say she'll just put "registered at BRU and Amazon.com" I doubt she'll need to explain how to find me and it's pretty user-friendly for those who aren't familiar with it. And anyone who isn't familiar enough with the internet (elderly ladies mostly) probably won't want to order stuff online anyway and will just go to the store instead. That's my logic at least
No, I just want one that will match a travel system. Either Adventure or the red one. Sucks they are both so boy-ish. I wish I could get the 30 in Coventry but they only do that in the 22. Grr!
So annoying!
They have Miro on Amazon!
I'm totally going to do an Amazon registry. They run deals all of the time and you can pick from a wider range of products.
While I don't see an etiquette problem with it, I do see where someone who isn't keen on online shopping might see the PNP, go to BRU and find what they consider to be an acceptable alternative.
But, these types of things happen constantly at baby showers, so it's impossible to avoid.
I'd say go for it.
That's what we're getting too! Miro. Have you seen it in person though? It's much more vibrant than it looks online. I love it and surprisingly, DH likes it too.
I don't get why all of the Chicco colors are so boyish unless you get the pink and brown one. It's infuriating. Then none of the car seats match the travel systems. I know not everyone wants a travel system but you should at least have the choice in all the different colors. Oh well. It's rated the best for safety so I am sucking it up.
I'm with you...pink or brown aren't nearly enough color choices but I guess it's better than red and grey!
Toyah, I haven't seen Miro yet in person.
I didn't know there was such a thing as an official registry. Cool. Thanks!
I think I am going to get Romantic (black and grey). We have to use a bundle me for most of the first 6 months b/c of the winter. It would kill me to have to put a pink or blue bundle with most of the seat options. Clash central. Ew!
