We were introduced at a bar by a mutual acquaintance, but since I was there because of a bartender I don't remember meeting DH. He then was looking for people on MySpace from our area, and found me. So, I say we met on MySpace!

After chatting for a little while, it seemed he was nice, but didn't have many friends, so I invited him out to the bar one night, to hang out with my gf and I. He was so eager to meet me, he got there before I! Well, I met up with him out of sympathy and he met up with me out of interest. Turned out he was really cute and fun, and the rest is history!

We've been together for 4 1/2 years, and will be married for 3 as of August!

DH and I met in the 8th grade. We had a crush on each other when we were 14, that grew into immense hatred. We started highschool, he became the studpid jock and we hated each other intensely and did everything within our power to make the others life miserable for about 2 years.

We started dating when we were 17, so we've been together 5 years - married for 3 in August :-)

We were introduced. I was working at a preschool and one of my student's dad approached me at the end of year potluck and said he had a cameraman he felt I would "hit it off with." I passed on my e-mail. We e-mailed one another, transitioned to chatting online, then talking on the phone. We managed to arrange a first date (we lived over 300 miles apart at the time). We've been together 7 years today (married 5 years).

Ours is a unique story. My high school boyfriend (we dated about 2 years on and off and broke up my Senior year of highschool and his Sophomore year of college). He moved on to a girl he cheated on me to be with. We stayed in touch. At the end of my Senior year of high school he became roommates with my DH. Since he knew I was single and so was DH he played matchmaker. We hit it off and talked for hours on the phone since we were over an hour away from each other. Ex didn't like it once we fell in love.

Kind of humorous. We were together for 2 years before we got engaged, and got married a year later. We've been together almost 9 years and married almost 6. Who knew that the boy I loved who broke my heart would be responsible for introducing me to the man I love who will never break my heart.

We had briefly run into each other from a mutual friend YEARS ago. I was supposed to go to a party at his house with another guy as a date but he stood me up. Then DH found me on facebook and added me. He asked me to a baseball game about a week later because HIS date had stood him up and he didn't want to waste the ticket. I faked sick at the last minute and told him I couldn't go because he's a BIG guy and I found him quite intimidating (built like a brick house and covered in tats) and I am just naturally very shy but a good girlfriend of mine said "oh, just go! You never know what could come of it!". So I went after all. Had the best date I had ever been on and we have literally been inseparable ever since. I learned then not to judge a book by it's cover. He may look like a bull but he's really just a bunny. We got married exactly one year later.

He was a frequent customer at a car stereo shop I worked at (he owns a bodyshop)... the first day I spoke to him, he came in with his one arm and leg all bandaged up and I asked him what happened. He said he couldn't get a fire to start well in the wood stove in his garage, so he poured paint thinner on it... it flashed back and set him on fire. I looked at him and said, "So you're the dumbest person I've met to date, congrats!" Shortly after I started working with him on some projects(I work on cars too) and 5 years later, we got married last August :-)

We meet working at Dairy Queen in High School. I was 15 and he was 16 at the time. We started hanging out just as friends and he quickly became the best friend i had ever had. We started dating about a year later (although neither of us had eyes for anyone else for the entire year we were not official) and have been together ever since. So almost 10 years. We will be married 7 years in August.

First I have to say this is the cutest thread! I love hearing all the stories.

Okay, so I went to a concert at a local bar with a friend (just a friend to me, but he wanted to date me. Me-not so much) Saw this guy walk by and thought he was cute. Kept checking him out throughout the evening. Started getting stalked by some creepy short Italian man in a leather jacket that kept insisting to me he was going to give me private Italian lessons. Tried to be cool and run over to the cute guy and start talking to him hoping the creepy guy would get the hint. He didn't. I invited the cute guy to a club for a Halloween party the following weekend, my friend was the DJ and I "won" a free party complete with drinks and free passes. Kicked myself the whole way home for not getting his number. Went home, told my roommates I met "my future boyfriend. He just doesn't know it yet." Me and the cute guy have been together almost 9 years and Have been married for almost 6 years.

I was on a site kind of like Myspace and Facebook and did this...we talked for almost 6 months strictly online and then for about 2 months through text and phone before we actually met face to face....We'll be together for 3 years in Sept.
