Shots & Fever

DD has been teether for a while, but hasn't really had the fever.  Yesterday she got her 4 month vaccinations, and DC just called to say her temp is 101.7.  She's going to give her tylenol, put her down for a nap, and keep a close eye on her.  I'm guessing it's from the shots, but should I call the pedi?  I don't have the handout that says when to call since I'm at work...

    Agreed. Tylenol will most likely do the trick.

    My pedi wants me to call if DS's temp is anything over 100.4. Since your daughter just got her shots a slight temp is to be expected if it doesn't come down in a couple of hours I would call your pedi.

    Ditto on the Tylenol. DD got a fever of 102 the day after her 4 month vaccinations. Tylenol helped, but another thing is for you DCP to take off a layer of clothing too - if your DD is in a onesie and a sleeper take off the sleeper and use a cold cloth on her back, neck, and head. I found that really helpful.
