I know that two eggs can be released sometimes as much as 24 hours apart (I think it's less than 12 most times though), but never wondered until today how this affects your temperature rise. The reason I'm wondering is because my temp. went up a bit today (a day before I expected it to, based on my usual ovulation pattern), but then I continued to have EWCM. So, I guess I'm asking...could your temp. rise even though your body still ends up releasing another egg? Would you continue to have EWCM? I guess I'm kind of forgetting the details behind what makes the hormone release that causes your temperature to go up. I know it's when you ovulate, but how does your body know that you're done and won't be releasing another egg? I think I'm remembering correctly that the hormone that raises your temperature is also the same one that causes your CM to dry up. Sorry if this is confusing or seems really random, but when things didn't quite make sense this morning, these thoughts started occurring to me.
Re: When your body releases two eggs, when does your temp. rise?
It is completely possible to get EWCM after ovulation. Your temps will not tell you if you dropped one egg or two just if you ovulated or not.
You can't find out if you have dropped two eggs (ie twins) until you are KU and have an u/s.

I don't mean to be rude, but, what are you talking about? I'm confused
What makes you think you could have released 2 eggs? Chill out and dont worry about it.
On a nicer note: Your LO is really cute!
I'll have to see what my temperature does tomorrow morning, but usually, my temperature goes up and that day, my CM is totally gone. What made me wonder about it is that I seemed to have a temperature rise, but my EWCM stuck around. I've charted for many, many cycles, so it things being a little different that made the thought occur to me. I'm not worrying about it or anything - was just curious.
