  • Nope, no compression hose for me!  Yet.  It's never been brought up to me, but you never know what the future might bring.

  • Hi everyone!

QOTW: No I don't, it's never been recommended to me (actually never occured to me).  But I've never had a clot, so maybe that's why?

  • hi all! just wanted to let everyone know tyler scott was born saturday night and we are all healthy, happy, and home! i will put a post up with all the details shortly.

never worn the compression hose, no particular reason though.

  • Not yet, but I probably will later on since I actually had a PE.  I live in FL and it's so hot here I can't imagine another layer (91 today!).  Plus those hose are just so sexy :P  lol.

  • Hello. One week to go for me - my scheduled c-section is May 24.  No compression hose, and supposedly no need to worry for the most part when I am not pregnant...just take precautions on long travels and after surgeries to pay attention.  I get these great leg massaging boots at the hospital though, during and after the c-section.  Detect sarcasm there - the boots are kind of a pain, but I know they keep the blood moving...
  • No compression hose for me either.

Thanks for the update Jen.  I love to hear positive induction and lovenox birth stories.  Makes me a little less nervous!

Hi I am new! I am due supposedly on 1/7/10 and am on aspirin until 12 weeks when I will do heparin twice daily. I have homozygous MTHFR.

I do not wear compression hose because I have never thought of it and it hasn't come up!

  • Hi ladies, please add me.

I am heterzygous MTHFR and with history of DVT.  I was on lovenox when I started progesterone for FET but got a PE last week.  I've been switched to Arixtra but will likely return to lovenox once fully anti-coagualated.

Due date is 1/2/10 with twins.

QOTW:  Compression stockings were mentioned in passing at an appt once.  I'll do whatever it takes to keep me and babies healthy even if it does mean wearing the nasty stockings in summer!

  • Hi ladies! Looks like I'm joining you and I'm glad to see this group is here. My EDD is 1/21/11

I have FVL and MTHFR so I am doing Heparin injections. My doctor originally prescribed Lovenox but my ins will not cover a dime of it so Heparin it is. I'm also taking Endometrin (progesterone supposotories).

Compression hose have not been mentioned.

  • So far I won't have to wear those sexy compression hose, hopefully it says that way since this desert heat is already taking a toll on me, I don't want to add more to my body temperature... Dr. right now is just monitoring me as I go along, I keep getting these terrible knots from those lovenox shots.

  • I'd love to be added to this group. My EDD is 1/15/11 and I'm on Lovenox for FVL and 2 previous PEs.

    Thanks!

  • My OB vetoed compression hose when I asked him about it.  He said that with the swelling and increased blood flow during pregnancy it's too hard to monitor whether the hose help or actually constrict blood flow.
