Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Does your LO know when you leave the room?

Just over the past few days DS has started to fuss and whine whenever we're out of sight....I thought we had a few more months before we got to that point.

  • I always tell her I will be right back, otherwise she fusses.

  • yeah I have noticed this.  Nothing major but sometimes she does fuss if we both leave.

Same here, it's nothing major but it's obvious he knows I'm out of sight. I've tried talking to him as I run into the kitchen to prepare a bottle or something, but that doesn't really help. Just wondering if anyone elses LO's do the same thing.

  • He doesn't fuss but he looks all around the room for me.

  • DS does the same and has for some time now. His bottom lip even starts to quiver as soon as I get near the doorway to go.

  • Yes. Every time.
  • Yep, she does this and has for a while. If I can sneak out really quick and get back before she notices I've gone though, she is good! :)

  • This just happened for the first time today.  Is it bad that it made me feel good?

  • Just in the past 2 weeks our DD throws a hissy most times when she SEEs me leave the room.  She does it even when DH stays in the room.

  • Yep. She tends to turn her head and watch me move arounf the room. She doesn't always fuss when I leave a room, but it's getting harder to check on her in her crib in the morning. If she's awake and hears even the slightest noise, she'll crane her neck to see who's there.
