My husband and I are having twins within the next several weeks and wanted to get some newborn photos shortly after the twins are born. 

Has anyone had any good experiences with any photographers in the area? 

Were they expensive?  I've just started looking around and don't know exactly what to expect.  Thanks for any info you can provide.

    I have a couple of photographers that I use.  Look at my siggy picture.  Where are you delivering?  One of my photgraphers came to the hospital and took J's newborn pics when he was 2 days old.  They turned out fabulous.  I can show you some of their work if you want.

    I'm delivering out in Elgin at the new Sherman Hospital and live less than 10 miles away from the hospital. 

    Was hoping to get someone to come out to the house around 10 days after the twins are born.

    We use Peter Matthes Photography. He is a friend of ours and has done amazing photos of DS. He comes to your house or where ever you want to shoot.

    They are both in your area.  Linnea is in Bartlett and Catherine is near Dekalb.  Linnea usually likes to do the newborn pics at 7 days old.  I think they cooperate a little better the younger they are.  She has some great props for newborn photos.  They both will come to your house and both have great prices.  I loved my newborn photo shoot from Linnea.

    Tammy Leathem is amazing! www.leathemphotography.com If you look in her "family and children" gallery, my son's one month pics are there - he's the baby boy with a ton of hair in front of the bright yellow bush. :)

    I can recommend James Stepanek at www.readysetphoto.net.  He uses all of the "props" such as baby cocoons, bear hats, and black velvet backgrounds.  His prices are extremely good and I know he travels.

    We used Allison Mayer she came to our home and was wonderful.  There is a pic in my signature line.  We used her for our wedding pictures also and will continue to use her, she's great.
